Former U.S. President Donald Trump is preparing to sign an executive order mandating his administration to “recognize” only “two sexes,” disregarding the existence of transgender individuals. Additionally, he plans to eliminate federal funding for diversity initiatives within the government, according to statements from future White House officials on Monday, just before the Republican’s inauguration.
Restoring Biological Definition and Protecting Women
The executive order aims to “protect women from the ideological extremism of gender theory and restore biological truth within the federal government,” a senior official stated under anonymity. The official further clarified that individuals’ sexual identity would be exclusively determined by the gametes they produce.
“What we are affirming today is that U.S. policy will recognize two sexes: male and female,” the source explained.
Ending “Transgender Ideology”
Throughout his campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly pledged to put an end to what he described as the “transgender delusion.” This latest move underscores his commitment to reversing policies promoting gender inclusivity.
Eliminating Federal Support for Diversity Programs
The president-elect also intends to cut federal funding for programs supporting diversity and inclusion within the administration. According to the same senior officials, anti-racism and diversity training programs are among those targeted.
“We are going to end this type of funding and shut down these programs,” one official stated, criticizing such initiatives as unnecessary expenditures.
